Fannie Mae Short Sale Assistance Desk
NNRMLS is pleased to participate in the Fannie Mae Short Sale Assistance Desk. By working with Fannie Mae through this program, the brokers and agents of NNRMLS are better equipped to help their clients. The Assistance Desk focuses on assisting in cases of non-responsiveness from servicers or where the mortgage insurer or second lien holder has imposed a closing condition that is not possible for the borrower to meet. Please note that the Assistance Desk is not intended to replace the normal approval channels,
and escalation through this channel does not guarantee a positive resolution on your short sale transaction.
To Be Eligible for this Program:
- Property must have a first-lien loan owned by Fannie Mae (Step 1)
- Property must be listed through an active member of NNRMLS
- The Servicer must be in receipt of a valid offer for the property.
- A signed Borrower Authorization Form (BAF) must accompany submission (Step 2)
